An ever-increasing number of Foundations Adapters for the ITSM solutions!
As the trusted source of IT configuration and Application Dependency Maps (ADM), Tideway Foundation is being used by our customers in many ways, one of which being to populate their ITSM solutions (CMDB, BSM, RBA, Provisioning, ...) and maintain them up to date with accurate CIs and Service Maps.
As senior product manager for Tideway integrations, one of my goals is to make sure it’s easy for Customers to access and make use of the Configuration and Change Management data Tideway Foundation produces where it can add the most value. Of particular interest are integrations with customers ITSM tools, whether commercial products or custom solutions. To date, we’ve designed and developed more than 40 integrations by using standard Tideway product adapters or Tideway APIs. And we’re constantly tracking the latest product versions or or customer specific solutions out there that might requires integrations.
So, last year, when the market leading CMDB latest version (BMC Atrium CMDB 2.0) was about to be released, we immediately went to work to develop a enterprise-class adapter to integrate with it
Early preview of our work was announced by our lead integration engineer a month ago.
And today, we proud to be the first ADM solution in the market to announce a certified adapter to BMC Atrium CMDB 2.0
So just to recap:
1-The adapter is validated by BMC certification program (In a few days you will be able to download the iNote here)
2-The adapter is fully configurable. It is quite frequent that the default Atrium data model requires modification to fit the customer’s needs. We designed the adapter with this in mind, and so the adapter not only works with any custom implementation of Atrium CMDB but also doesn’t require any modification to Atrium CMDB as well (no the case of other solutions integrating with Atrium).
3-The adapter can simply be configured to do a full export or synchronize changes only. It records the AtriumID of each written CI so that update can be done with great performance.
But the best validation of all is that we now have 2 customers that have integrated Tideway with Atrium and many more considering or planning for it.
