Server Passports
Find out about Server Passports – automatically generated per-server pdf documents that contain essential hardware, OS and software details and an analysis of the server’s network traffic in an accessible, easy-to-use format. They’ve been designed with meetings and workshops in mind: email them, print them, discuss them, annotate them.
What’s New in 7.3?
This demo walks you through the exciting new features of Foundation 7.3 – Automatic and Manual Grouping, Server Passports and CSV consolidation.
Data Center Migration Demo
Find out how Tideway Foundation 7.3 is used to take the risk out of data center migration planning. Quickly inventory servers, group by business application, and generate documentation – automatically.
Data Center Consolidation Demo
This demo shows how Tideway Foundation 7.3 can be used to support server consolidation projects. Find unused servers and software, and identify server virtualization candidates
Automatic Grouping
This demo looks at Automatic Grouping. Automatic Grouping is used to build groups of servers that work closely together, based on an analysis of the communications between them. It can identify highly connected hosts, or possible servers that participate in the same business application.
Application Modeling
This demo looks at how Foundation models applications – both using the built-in knowledge library, updated monthly to recognize new infrastructure software products, but also using the pattern language (TPL) to model custom software and business applications.
Reconciling Third Party Data
Tideway Foundation 7.3 adds the ability to reconcile data from CSV files straight from the user interface. This makes it easy to add contextual information – such as ownership of servers, or physical locations. Simon Woodward, Product Manager for Foundation demonstrates.
Using Foundation for Software License Management
Auditing how much software you have in use in the data center is a huge manual task. Tideway Foundation automates the process, giving an accurate count of software products and versions in use. This makes license negotiation easier, reduces the risk of under licensing, and identifies software that can be consolidated to save money.
Creating a Data Center Baseline
This video shows how Tideway Foundation can be used to create a data center baseline at the start of a data center project with a fraction of the effort that would be required to manually audit all the software and servers.
